Susan Flis, MRA Vice President
Dr. Susan Flis taught at the elementary level for over 20 years. Her time in public school included being a classroom teacher, a literacy interventionist, and an instructional coach. She is now an Assistant Professor of Literacy Education at Bridgewater State University. Her research is grounded in critical literacy theory, with a focus on inclusive children’s literature. Personally, she lives with her wife, their two daughters, and several pets in Rhode Island. Susan enjoys being a part of MRA because she loves collaborating with other literacy professionals.
